TimHortman Posted February 15, 2010 Report Posted February 15, 2010 Hello All! I bought a few kits at a yard sale a while back (I know I should know better!) and it turns out I am missing a few parts to make the kit complete. It's Tamiya 1/35 M2A2 Bradley (kit #35152) [kit #35264 is the same mold]. I have the kit assembled and ready for paint after I get these parts. All are from the "E" Sprue: E1, E2, E15, E21, E22, E24, E31, and several E27. I am aware that I can get an entire E sprue from Tamiya USA, but was hoping that someone had a destroyed project they may be willing to part with a few parts. I do not want to ruin a full kit to make this happen, so IF you have some spare Bradley parts around, I'd love to hear from you! Thanks for your time. Tim
Weedeater Posted February 18, 2010 Report Posted February 18, 2010 (edited) Hello Tim, - FWIW (and so ya don't think that everybody is looking at your request and movin on), I looked through my stash and found not 1, but 3 M2A2's. Unfortunately, they were all the earlier issues (35132) that did not included the "E" tree with all of the goodies you're lookin for. I also found that I have 1 of the 35264 kits, but it's my only one and I kinda want to use those parts. Best of luck with your search. Model on, Brother of the Sprue. TimHortman Posted February 19, 2010 Author Report Posted February 19, 2010 Thanks Ken! I realize it's a long shot. I really don't want anyone to rob a good kit to get these - I'll probably just call Tamiya & get the entire E sprue. Thanks again!

Sounds like you found a kit that someone cannibalized the parts to make their M2 with interior into an M2A2 with interior. The M2/3 upper hull was retooled when they made the M2A2. You should make sure that even though you have the A2 box, that you really don't have just the remnants of an M2.
TimHortman Posted February 20, 2010 Author Report Posted February 20, 2010 Thanks Rob, I hadn't really thought of that. I am pretty sure that I have the newer hull (there were actually bits of three kits in the lot I bought, and only one hull appeared to be the older version. I will double check before I get it finished!
