They look awesome!! I love the white one!! We had a fire company where I grew older, (notice I didn't say grow up!!) that had all white apparatus. They always looked the sharpest in the parades!!!

HI, Doug.  Yes, the white one is unique. I first saw the real rig about 30 years ago at a fire muster in New York.  The truck is a 1962 Seagrave from River Edge, New Jersey.  I took photos of it because it was so different than what I was used to.  A few years late I attended the NNL model show in Toledo, OH where a modeler from Michigan was selling resin shell castings of the Seagrave.  I bought one and converted it based on the photos.  Later on I was contacted by River Edge and ended up building another similar model for their firehouse where it is on display today.  The rig was retired from service a few years back.

Hi Charlie!! Long time no, see!! (I've been here in FLA for almost 13 years!!!) I Hope all is well with you.

In Stamford CT, where I'm from we had 5 Volunteer Fire Departments, fondly known as the Big 5!! It was one of those companies that had the white rigs!! They were awesome and another town close by started to have white equipment, following suit!!

All is well here, Doug.  Thanks for asking.  New Haven still has white rigs, I think.  Will have to check with a friend of mine who lives there.
