For those who have built this kit, I'm trying to decide between:

- Gluing the interior bucket and firewall to the chassis, installing the engine, doing all the engine detailing and then try to slide the whole assembly into the body.

- Following the directions (glue the interior bucket into the body, then glue the chassis to the bottom of the interior, then do the final underhood detailing with the model totally assembled).

The first approach seems more likely to get everything lined up, but I'm worried about actually getting the chassis+interior to fit into the body without a lot of prying that might damaging the paint. Any tips?

Sorry, Don. I have no experience with this kit. It sounds like you already have the body painted. If it were not you could try test fitting using a temporary glue like elmers or Formula 560 Canopy Glue. It depends alot on the kit. I have done what you describe on my last build (Skyline GTR) A critical aspect is how the interior mates up to the window glass/openings when secured to the chassis vrs the body.

Best of luck & remember to share some pics.

Don, I haven't built this particular kit, but have built a couple of similar Vettes...it might depend specifically on what type of detailing you want to do.

Would it be possible to...1) Glue the Interior and firewall to the body...2) glue the engine to the chassis, and detail as much as possible...3) glue the chassis in place...4) complete the detailing?
