I reviewing the reissue from Revell and my references are a bit thin for this one. I've been all over the internet and have found a lot of great exterior photos but no cockpit shots. Can anyone out there point to where I might find some?

Hello Chris, Have you tried Airliners.net? They have a HUGE collection of members posted photos with a great search feature. Here is what I believe is a link to Mi-24 specific photos, including interior shots of current birds. You'll have to go looking thru 10 pages, but this example was on the first page.

Good luck.

I hope someone will soon have a aftermarket pit for that kit.

Greg,

- When Chris mentioned above that he is reviewing a Revell reissue of a Hind D, I assume that he is talking about the 1/48 scale Monogram kit. So, assuming that you are wishing for 1/48 resin/detail sets, Cobra company has had a cockpit and exterior resin detail sets out for a while now. They are set numbers 48001 and 48018. Here's their site link:

- Also, Eduard has photo etch sets for the exterior and interior too. They are set numbers 48-266 and 48-267.

- Good luck, hope this helps.

Thats awesome! If you followed the kit directions it would all be gray. Now I get to use that cool blue green color the Soviets paint their cockpits in. Thanks for the link and photo.

It is in fact the reissued Monogram kit. While the detail sets sound interesting, I decided to do this one out of the box since we have a shorter timeline on reissued as opposed to new kits. Its a fairly good build from what I can see so far. Stay tuned for the results on the review page. Thanks to all for your help/
