Ron Bell Posted May 2, 2013 Report Posted May 2, 2013 I've got an old release of the Airfix Firefly, but I have the decal sheet from a newer release and it is much more elaborate. Don't ask how I have this mis-match, it's a sad story. Anyway, the old instructions do not give the location for all decals on the newer release sheet. Does anyone have a scan and/or copy that they can share?

I didn't trust the decal invasion stripe decals to settle down right over all the gun bulges and other protuberances, so I painted them on. That's not the problem. As I was removing the masking, it lifted just about everything under it leaving a right mess! Don't know why that happened. Entire model surface had been sanded to remove rivets, so it was clean, then primered and painted with oil base paints. Everything was looking great until then, but now I've kind of lost interest, at least for a while. Anyway, the problem with placing the decals wasn't with the major ones like stripes, roundels, serial numbers, etc, it was with a whole host of small stenciling that was included on this decal sheet. It was fully twice the size of the older release's sheet. Anyway, it's moot for the moment, but thanks to you both for at least trying.
