About Me
I started this journey of scale model making with the first 1/25 scale Peterbilt truck kit offered by AMT, mostly from my mother's encouragement. This was around 1970, at the same time mom helped me build a large scale WW2 Curtis P-40 Warhawk. I still have it & should get it back on display. As the product offerings from the early kit makers expanded, so did my modeling. 1/48 WW2 aircraft, 1/32 & 1/35 armor, a few figures (strong memories of a knight molded in blue armor), ships, cars and star wars. In the end, it has always come back to 1/25 & 1/24 class 8 trucks, especially pre-1980.
In my professional career of Industrial model making, I have extensive experience in manufacturing including metal work, fabrication, polymers, natural and synthetic elastomers, and most species of wood. I have designed, fabricated and set up multiple trade show exhibits in a range of products and services. I continue to run my own model shop in my spare time working for a small, dedicated clientele. I also have extensive experience in maintenance and repair of everything from sewing machines, to heavy construction equipment.
I am a antique truck nut, and can be found at many northern east coast truck shows. I did model shows & competitions for about 10 years, but haven't attended or entered anything since 2013.
Cheers
