kbrown Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 I'm embarking on a 'Holy Grail' of sorts. Does anyone have detailed drawings or plans for a Vought O3U floatplane. If not, any ideas on where I might be able to find some? George Lee's product from 2000 was great...anyone know where the references came from??? Kendall Brown...Plano, Texas (NCT)
Mike Lindsey Posted September 30, 2008 Report Posted September 30, 2008 For what it's worth the book Airplanes by John T McCoy (1936 Rand McNally) claims to have scale drawings of the Vought O3U-3. I don't have a copy but they're out there. Good Luck. Mike

You're not going to believe this, but with about 5 clicks of the mouse, I found this book in the Special Collections Library at the University of Texas at Dallas...right down the street from where I live. Now that's results! Thanks for the tip...I'll let you know how it works out. KB
Mike Lindsey Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 I'm very jealous. Here in Redding we're lucky to find a few old National Geographics at our "library".
