ColesAircraft Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 Scale Modeler and Wonderful Dad Lost Everything - Please Help!My dad, Gerry Cole, has been a scale aircraft modeler since he was a young kid just after WWII. In the years since he’s dedicated himself selflessly to promote the hobby of scale modeling among youngsters across the United States, by being the first IPMS USA Junior Activities Coordinator. My dad lost virtually all of his scale model kits, tools, and reference materials in the Colorado flooding that has made headlines this early part of September. Everything he’d collected for over 35 years was totally wiped out as unprecedented flood waters filled the basement of his home above the level of six feet. All three family cars were also totaled, including his priced Mazda Miata that he’d babied since he bought it new 15 years ago. The house sustained serious damage.I’m asking any of you fellow hobbyists who have extra ‘stuff’ to helpme help my dad get his lost hobby back upon its feet. I’m asking for:Airliner kits of any scaleAirliner after market decalsAirliner reference materialsHobby tools of any sortAnything else a modeler needs!Until he can return to his house - which is still flooded - please send all items to my address:Ron Cole3710 Dresden RoadZanesville, Ohio 43701I will send everyone who donates a complimentary 8.5 x 11 aviation art print of their choice from my available inventory of artwork.
