  1. After a one-year pandemic-induced hiatus, the Cleveland Model Show is back! The show will, once again, be held at eh Kirtland School Complex* on November 7th and the IPMS/John H Glenn and IPMS/Western Reserve chapters are excited and eager to get back to it. Based on the interest we're hearing and the vendor response, everyone else is too! To start, this year will be a record - by far - in vendor turnout. We have had to open up (and nearly fill) the main hallway in the High School! For you really old-timers, this was the main vendor area when the contest was being held in the High School cafeteria. And we have a great mix of vendors - hobby shops, figure vendors, reference book vendors, auto kit vendors, tool vendors, the "Great Wall of Plastic", and the usual mix of folks looking to sell off their collection in order to buy somebody else's collection :-). In addition, we have our contest, with dozens of categories, special awards, and Peoples' Choice awards. We have our large day-long raffle with tons of prizes, a FREE Kids' Raffle, a FREE Make & Take program, on-site food, and more! All we need now is good weather and folks to come on out and enjoy the show! Up-to-date info can be found on our web site (www.clevelandmodelshow.org). Hope to see you there! * Kirtland Schools are requiring masks to be worn by everyone, regardless of vaccine status. We will have masks available on-site for anyone who needs one. Other than that, there no other requirements. CMS24Flyer.pdf
  2. Hey all, The annual Cleveland Model Show is, once again, being held in Kirkland, Ohio on November 4th. It's shaping up to be another good event (minus any biblical weather this year, we hope!) The vending space in the gym is now SOLD OUT with dozens of vendors selling all kinds of good stuff (any new vendors will be placed in the hallway)...another huge day-long raffle...free make & take for the kids...on-site food from the school band boosters (mmm, cheesy potatoes!)...and, of course, our contest! Up-to-date details can be found on our web site: www.clevelandmodelshow.org Hope to see you there! Cheers, Doug CMS22Flyer.pdf
  3. The 2018 Region IV Convention on April 27-28 in Cleveland OH at Crawford Auto/Aviation Museum, hosted by the same folks who bring you the annual Cleveland Model Show, is coming fast and we have some updates to pass along: With only two days left, we're checking off the final tasks, done our final walk-through of the venue, and we're getting pretty excited about it! That being said, here are a few last-minute updates and reminders... FIRST, We've noticed some concern regarding area parking. SO, straight for the horse's mouth, so to speak: • The Museum Parking Lot (85+ spaces) is FREE PARKING for Friday and Saturday! We're paying for it! • The VA Hospital Parking Garage one block west of the museum is FREE PARKING for the event! • All Metered Street Parking in the area - including by the museum is FREE PARKING ON SATURDAY • See the Driving/Parking Directions page on our website for details SECOND, The event is an EASY 5-10 minute drive from I-90. The Driving/Parking Directions page on the website has a linked map for your convenience. THIRD, We will be having a "BUILD & BULL" on Friday afternoon at the museum. If you're coming in Friday, please DO bring something along to sand and whittle away at! Also, we have free seminars and a Make & Take for the kids all day Saturday! FINALLY, the block of discounted hotel rooms is gone and we are down to two tables left in our expanded vending area. With springtime weather finally making its way to the North Coast and a pretty darned cool venue to wander around in, we think this'll be a good-un! Hope some of you can make it! Cheers, Doug www.clevelandmodelshow.org
  4. Hey All, It's shaping up to be a good event! The main vending area is sold out and we're into overflow territory. We have some good vendors this year, too, including R & J's "Great Wall of Plastic", Last Cavalry, David Doyle Books, and several other! Our top-notch raffle is building up well again this year! All we need are attendees. Last chance at a show and a good start to holiday shopping for the year. :smiley14: Up-to-date details at our web site : www.clevelandmodelshow.org Cheers! Doug
