Scale model contest and show. Our sponser is the Farifax High School PTSA All Night Grad Commitee. We have 179 vendor tables reserved for the show. We will use IPMS rules for judging. Contest and vendor registration forms, categories, directions, and rules are downloadable from our website. Start time on 18 April 2026. If all goes well (for example if we have enough judges - hint-hint) the awards ceremoney should begin at around 3:30-4:00. Food will be available during the show courtesy of the PTSA All Night Grads, to include roving carts all and especially for you vendors who naturally get a bit nervous leaving their tables to get food.

On Saturday, April 18, MODEL CON 419 will take place in the Quality Inn Perrysburg. Two hobby clubs have organized a hobby event that will bring plastic modelers from all over the Midwest to compete in a judged competition, and shop with a wide array of vendors. The doors will open to the public at 9:00 am.
The judged model contest will be divided into more than 50 categories, with subjects ranging from Aircraft and Military Vehicles to Spacecraft and Dinosaurs. There are Juniors and Teens categories to allow younger modelers to compete. Trophies will be awarded for First, Second, and Third Places, along with “Best Ofs” in each category. Over 30 vendor tables will be loaded with a variety of model kits, books, tools and supplies at prices well below those of brick-and-mortar stores. In addition, there will be an all-day raffle with even more kitsand modeling supplies up for grabs. The show will close at about 5:00 pm.

The Rt. 66 Expo serves as our annual celebration of our shared hobby, we like to think of it as our clubs’ annual holiday. Every year, we look forward to inviting modelers to share their work, make new friends, and find inspiration for new builds.
An Exhibitor Experience
Models will be displayed by modeler, not category. Additionally, modelers’ names will be displayed with their works. All attendees will be given aname tag to make connecting with your favorite builders even easier.
Higher Quality Evaluations
We believe that modelers should receive both positive and constructive feedback from our judges as a tool to help them achieve their personal goals in the hobby. For 2026, the fixed entryfee will include four evaluations per modeler. Limiting each entrants’ evaluations will allow judges to focus on providing a better evaluation experience for attendees. Additionally, entrants are encouraged to showcase additional models in their display, providing attendees with a comprehensive overview of their work.
Three Award Tiers
The Rt. 66 Expo will feature 3 levels of awards for modelers to earn.
GSB: All evaluated entries will be eligible to earn a Gold, Silver, or Bronze Challengecoin, commensurate with the level of work presented.
Master Awards: Thetraditional “Best of Awards” will recognize the most outstanding evaluated entries in their respective classes and present the Best of Show award to the most exceptional winner.
Special Awards: These awards will recognize “Outstanding” builds that incorporate unique themes, regardless of whether they are evaluated or displayed.
Easy Online Registration
Entrants can skip the registration desk and quickly get their models on the display tables by completing their forms online before the show. Registration will open in late March!
