Joev259A
I'm interested in finding a scale figure of an alligator and/or pelican, 1/48 scale (or a size around that). Approximate alligator size about 2 inches or so. The pelican-- about the size of a meal for the alligator . . . Any suggestions? Hard plastic or resin would work
Mark Aldrich
O scale train items would be your best bet! http://www.ebay.com/...=item2ebf0b1e00 http://www.ebay.com/itm/PELICAN-W-FISH-O-Model-Railroad-Boat-Ship-Cast-Pewter-Detail-Figure-FR1555-/261108051052?pt=Model_RR_Trains&hash=item3ccb40ac6c
philp
Ok, the animal collection for 7 isn't too bad but 10 for that pelican is a bit much. Check out Toys R Us and Michaels, etc. Safari Ltd do some critters and you might find a gator in there. The pelican may be a bit tougher.
Mark Aldrich
You might actually find a plastic one if they offer like a aquirium animal set!
Mark Aldrich
Here is a set for .99! It does have a pelican and a croc or gator! I use ebay as a search engine more than I use google! http://www.ebay.com/...=item3ccb9de000 KayBee toys and Kmart used to sell those bagged sets for like a buck! Just don't know the scale. Rusty White
Working on a diorama I went to Hobby Lobby and Michaels and was surprised how many items like that were in the "charms and jewelry" section. Walked out with a nice pair of dolphins.
Joev259A
Thanks everyone! I went to a crafts store, but I never thought about going to a toy store. I wondering if enamels will stick to these "toys," and also what polyester resin would do to the figure. BTW, the pelican idea is out.
Mark Aldrich
I would advise acrylics! That way you are safe.
