2013 Convention

Recommended Posts

I am 71, which means I am in my 72nd year of life. My 72nd year of life ENDS on my birthday. Same goes for IPMS. The 50th year of IPMS begins the day after the 49th National Convention (2013) and ends with the 50th National Convention (2014).

This is not rocket science.

The advance, on-line registration of models problem has been fixed. There is no on-line registration of models. If you check the FAQ section, it now reflects that. NIce work on Loveland's part in fixing this ASAP.

Well, thanks for explaining that Ed.

I believe the idea that this is a 'hinky advertising ploy' is more on the mark. Apparently.

Curious minds want to know: When are we going to be able to register for the convention and it is noted on their website that the banquet menu was supposed to be listed in December so when are we going to be able to view that?

Any updates on the categories and are you going to list the vendors that have signed up?

Is there any chance we can see which contest categories are already sponsored, and by which chapter/group?

As of 10 March, this is now available. Thank you very much!

I asked awhile back and was told soon. Don't know why they couldn't put out what they have right now, "Well I have an idea why they may not want to" , But all I can say is just wait to see what happens on the site.

Got the list of vendors and to my surprise, Tamiya and Z-M are not on the list! I was under the impression that both were going to be there.

I'd be VERY surprised if the Vendor List is "complete" yet. After all, it's month's til the show, and I do not believe the space is sold out yet. I wouldn't worry about a lack of a name there until June/July.

Well then that's good AND bad news. GOOD news in that it's already sold out...and BAD news in that the Tamiya folks won't be there! Not the first time I was wrong....after all, I'm a married man! :smiley2:

Hi CO. guys,

I'm trying to register online. when I hit recalculate, it does it fine. But when I hit "checkout" the next screen that pops ups is blank.

Ideas what I'm doing wrong? TIA

Hi Kev,

This seems to happen with the store sometimes. I've put in multiple support requests to the web hosting company, but they have not found a solution (or even replicated the issue). My suggestion is to try again later, possibly with a different web browser...

If you continue to have issues, please contact me directly...

Same here, just got the same blank screen with the address in the address bar:

It's amazing how something like online registration that is supposed to make things so easy ends up making this twice as hard as it should be!

Remember, you will not be able to register your models in advance. You will be able to fill out the forms to have them ready to do so on site, but you can't do it in advance. If you've got them made out and ready to go, it only takes a minute or so, depending on how many you have.

I know that I will not be able to register them early, I just want to have them filled out so it will be one less thing to worry about later on.

Anything new with the show? The last update is two months old...just curious. And yes, looking forward to the model forms being available online soon.

Thx,

I just booked my round trip shuttle ride. According to the convention site its $25 each way and cheaper stil if you book online. Wellllll not so much, but it's only slightly more expensive. I just paid $31 each way for a $62 total. Again when you think about it thats still pretty cheap for a $94 mile round trip.
