Growlers are distinguished by their wing fences and stabilizing aileron “tripper strips.” Two of the U.S. Navy’s most celebrated electronic warfare squadrons – the “Shadowhawks” and “Yellow Jackets” – were among the first to fly the EA-18G Growler in 2010.
