The Cobra I and Cobra II were P-39Qs owned by test pilots Chalmers Goodlin, Alvin Johnston and Jack Woolams. Johnston and Woolams both flew in the 1946 Thompson Trophy Race, but it was Johnston’s Cobra II that came out on top.
