In 1988, the UH-60J was chosen by the Japan Air Self-Defense Force to replace its Sikorsky® S-62s and KV-107s. The UH-60J’s T700-IHI-701A engines provide plentiful power, and many feature fuel tanks which can be attached to pylons. Refueling probes were added to existing models in 2006.
