The Luftwaffe’s Jagdgeschwader 1 fighter wing was formed in eastern Prussia in May of 1939. From 1940-1942, JG 1 took on Allied aircraft across the Western front and northern Europe. For WWII’s final years, JG1 provided air support for the Wehrmacht, protecting German industries from Allied attacks. By WWII’s end, experts estimate that JG1 had shot down 700 enemy aircraft.

 

This Limited Edition kit features new fuselage rack and pitot tube parts, plus two marking options:
