Kjundude1
Hello Guys. This is a 54mm knight Hospitaller from Friulmodels. Yes, the same company that makes the cool armour tracks. Comments always welcome. Chris Fontenot

Dick Montgomery
Very nice highlighting and shadowing along the folds of the cape in the front....especially the way the paint accentuates the folds over the knee.

MikeMoore
Hi Chris, I think he looks great. It's unusual and interesting to see a figure of that era portrayed in clean garb and waiting for battle to commence rather than all muddied and bloodied up after the fight! What did you use for the helmet? I think that looks really good. Mike
Kjundude1
Hello Mike, Thanks for the kind words. I have only been painting for about 3 years, so I still have a lot to learn. I have done knights that were dirty and bloody with the "after the battle" look, but this project was so I could experiment with black (really muted grey tones) to achive contrast without loking like a zebra effect. I only use Vallejo acrylics. The helmet was base coated with oily steel, shaded with oily steel and black mix, and highlighted with silver.
