UAMF/CBK Forum has moved ...

Recommended Posts

Time to time, I have posted some of the goings on from the Unofficial Airfix Modelers Forum and/or the Classic British Kits SIG.

I know some IPMS/USA members are members of that forum and that some of you have visited to see what is going on.

We have sent an email to everyone who registered and left a valid email, but just in case, here are the details.

BTW, it's already 1 May in the UK, so we're open for business.

On Sunday, 1st May, 2011, the UAMF is moving house, to a completely new site. The reasons for and the benefits of this move are too numerous to mention here, and as a casual user, you may not care anyway.

From the 1st of May, you will be able to Register onto the new UAMF here; http://uamf.org.uk/

NOTE THAT YOU CANNOT LOG INTO NEW SITE, USING YOUR CURRENT UAMF USERNAME AND PASSWORD.

You MUST register to be able to post and to access all areas. The registration process is pretty self explanatory but step by step:

1. Click the register link in the site's navigation bar.

2. Agree to the terms and conditions on the next page.

3. Fill in your details on the next page and answer the "captcha" question.

4. Once you receive the activation email follow the link in that to activate your account

5. Log in with your user name and password.

The current UAMF will remain open and will serve as our Archive (we have moved or are moving reference material, but not old builds and posts).

From 1st May, no new registrations to the old site will be accepted.

From 1st May, all Forums on the old UAMF will be locked, with the exception of Small Talk.

This will remain open until 31st May, 2011 and then this too will be locked and the site will become our Archive.

Whilst the Admin Team has done its very best to ensure a trouble-free move, we know that only time will tell if we have covered everything.

We also hope that UAMF members will continue to give us the necessary feedback and to ask questions.

Happy modelling and, on behalf of the Admin Team, thank you for your support of the Unofficial Airfix Modellers Forum and hope to see you at
