superhoove
Hi everyone, I am looking for a panel template for an F-100 in 1:48. the one I was trying to find is or was made by UpNorth part # SCR48002 I guess its no longer available. (if anyone has one or an extra they are willing to part with I would be very interested) cash or trade. I was also wondering if anyone had experience with the Hasegawa 71101 Templet Set 1 TP-1 is it comparable etc. Thanks Mike Edited April 3, 2011 by superhoove
ghodges
Mike: are you talking about a template set to serve as a guide for scribing? I have the old Verlinden 3 template steel set that has come in handy over the years. However, more often than not I use simple drafting templates as guides. The only time I dig out the Verlinden set is to do squares with rounded corners. A quick trip to your local art store or office supply place can supply you with cheap guides of all sizes and shapes (squares, ovals, circles, etc). Another plus is that these plastic guides can be cut down if you need something smaller and easier to handle. Also, if you take one of the larger plastic templates (at least 8" long) and cut off one entire edge, you'll have a long, flexible straight-edge guide for scribing! Hope this helps! I actually had the UpNorth template for the F-100D (I will try to attach a pic so you can see it) I just cant find it When I first saw it advertised and the guys were talking about it I bought one it was sweet see the attached. I will have to try it the other way and see if im steady enough! Mike
