TimDarrah
I'm reading "The Few" by Alex Kershaw about American pilots flying for the RAF during the Battle for Britain. Might anyone know of decals for 609 Squadron and 71 "Eagle" Squadron in 1/72nd? I've searched both Squadron & Great Models without success. Mike Lindsey
"Decal variation of Hasegawa's 1995-release 1/72 Hurricane kit. Includes Aeromaster decals for Wn. R. Dunn's No.71 "Eagle Squadron" Hurricane (Summer 1941), and a U.S. insignia-marked Sea Hurricane used by the Royal Navy in Operation Torch in November of 1942 (Sea Hurricane arrestor hook parts not included)." These are details on an oop kit that still turns up. Don't know if that helps. I don't know the kit number. I know it was a Mk II. Mike
JohnRatzenberger
Tim, In the British subject world, we live with sheets of generic roundels, flashes, codes, and serials. What particular aircraft in each/either squadron do you want to model ? I can send you decals. John
TimDarrah
Mike, thanks for the info. I'll look for it at the next contest I go to. John, I'm not sure which aircraft/squadron I want to do. Let me do more research & I'll get back with ya. I looked thru my decals and nothing!! I do have a good supply of codes though.
