ikar
Here's something that I found sitting in a gravel lot at Nellis next to the Aggressor squadron building. Tis was in the mid 1980s.
David M. Knights
It is still there. In fact there is a bunch of armor in the "Petting Zoo" at Nellis.
ikar
In my shots there are actually three different vehicles there. Two of them have the same number. I wonder if they were among the vehicles that were sent back during the Yom Kippur War in 73? We got quite a few things sent back on the C-5s at Dover. TimDarrah
I was stationed at Nellis, in the 64th Aggressors AMU, from 79-81 and this tank was in front of the 66th FWS building as they flew and tested the A-10. Somewhere around here, I have shots of it as well.
Mark Aldrich
It's funny about how Museums get their stuff. I had to go to the Evergreen Aviation Museum in McMinnville Oregon to find that they had not one but two of my favorite armor vehicles. They actually have two t-34/85s and one running T-55. That was just too neat. I wasted a whole photo card on those vehicles alone. Mark
