It displays the cumulative state of warnings received from the forum administrator or the moderators of the individual forums. Visible only to you and the moderation staff, it's a way to gauge when you've strayed from the acceptable use policy (AUP). Get too many warnings and you face a variety of disciplinary measures up to and including suspension. Keep your comments civil and tasteful and you should be fine.
