Aquired this kit at the convention. had to do something with the rubio 45mm barrel I have. Also got the eduard p.e. for it. Need track. I'm told BT-5 and BT-7 track are different but to my eye they look the same. Anybody got info. on this kit?

Hi Gary,

Here is a link to a pretty good walk around of the BT-5. Hope this helps. I must say that I do no know much about this tank. I do know that the design was by an American and that the RZussians bought the design and the BT-5 was basically the same design. The BT-7 had a different turret. The same over all design was also used for the T34 series. From what I know and read the tracks are the same. Well there is my great fill of info for you.

Enjoy,

P.S. You build Armour, whats not to love about that? :smiley27:

Gary,

Just read this review by Cookie Sewell over on Missing-Links. He is reviewing the new Tamiya BT-7 kit, but gives a very good history of the Bt series. He does talk about the tracks. This should help. I learned a lot by just reading this. Are you feeling loved yet? :P

Chris,

Don't let the airplane guys know this. They just might up and come over to the DARK SIDE!

Also,

That same turret design was used on almost all their armored cars. I currently (backburned to finish the Achilles) have a BA-6 that I am making into a "what if" Militia vehicle as well.

Mark,

I like to refer to the Propheads as the DARK SIDE. Us armour guys, well naturally we are the good guys, Nights in shining armour ( OD, ambush pattern, NATO # whatever), Heros to all. :smiley16:

Marc,

Nothing wrong with Russian Armor fans.....I love the T-34 and T-54/55 series! Heavily modified for us Middle East Wars lovers!
