nostab
Took it to a local contest today and took third with it. I decided to just have fun with it and it came out pretty nice. Fujimi Ferrari 599 GTB. Fujimi 20" BBS wheels stripped and sprayed ts-26 Tamiya semi-gloss black. Body is finished in Zero Paints Rosso Fiorano. Topped with Tamiya TS-13 clear. Interior is basic red and black with flocking. Photo etch throughout. A couple of pics with more at MY FOTKI: Chris
JayMesawitz
Really nice looking build. Congrats on placing. The interior is rather nice too. (should have been a convertable) Alclad for the alum touches on the dash? I've not used zero paints. You like them? I know it is hard to beat TS-13 for a clear coat. nostab
Hi jay, thanks for the comments. Not sure what this would look like as a convertible, but I rather prefer the sporty coupe look myself. I do believe this was built with aero in mind due to the rear end treatment as well as the pillars. My favorite style of Ferrari's. Zero paints are pretty nice, yes. I've had good luck with them, but then again I have good luck with most of the stuff I airbrush, i.e. Cobra Colors and Scalefinishes. Yes, TS-13 cannot be beat. I feel that some of the automotive clears make the car look thick. Thanks! Chris
MikeH
Great eye for a color combo. That is the toughest looking Ferrari I've ever seen. Well done.
