TimHortman
Greetings all, The short story: Some time ago, I was talking with one of my co-workers about hobbies, interests, etc and earlier this week she brought in a few photos for me to see. They are just too good not to share with everyone! Both images show her father, Alfonse (Al) Balkas, during WWII, most likely in France. Photos are of 9th Airforce, 409 Bomb Group, 642nd Squadron A-20's... Enjoy! OKLAHOMA BELLE and a great photo of FAT STUFF with 100 missions! ghodges
Those are COOL! Thanks for sharing them. By the way, that second one would make for a GREAT diorama! GIL
TimHortman
Gil - I thought the very same thing when I saw it. The first thing I noticed when she showed me was the newly marked "100 Missions" on the nose - then I saw the crewmen!
