Mark Aldrich
So am I one the only one who still uses dead tree roots (the Shep Paine way) to make trees? I purchased some of Verlinden's palm trees and they look great. Mark
VonL
I love the root concept, but need to keep a better eye out for roots with suitable scale/detail. Have done it once and that foam-foliage-net stuff from Woodland Scenics looks great on them. There are some promising techniques out there for scratch-building palm trees, which I'll probably try before throwing down the dinero for the Verlindens. Mark Aldrich
Yeah, I look on Ebay to try and find those cheap. Mark
VonL
FYI, I just saw some small sets of pine trees, similar to my German-made ones, on the Woodland Scenics website.
