steev
This AMT's 1975 Gremlin. I picked it up for $5 at a show last year as it had some of the engine and suspension glued up. I built it as a curbside and 3d printed the hood scoop, side mirrors and tires. I made the tires fit wheels from my scrap box. I also used seats that I cast from a 1998 Corvette and printed Gizmo to sit in the car. The paint is Revell (Humbrol) metallic bronze and the stripes are painted on. GaryDavis
That car looks good. The paint and wheels really look sharp. I'm really not a Gremlin fan, but you changed my mind with this build.
Ron Bell
Nice job. Looks better than the real car did. Now see if you can find an AMC Pacer and you could have two of the worst cars ever made.
steev
Thank you Gary, I've always thought there was hope for the Gremlin, even if only in a model. I saw a beautifully done Gremlin at a model show some years back and I've been wanting to try one ever since. Thank you Ron, I think the Pacer "outpaced" the Gremlin for ugly hands down. ShutterAce
Nicely done. That's an oldie. I had this kit sometime in the late 70's I think. I believe they also had done the Pacer and the Matador. Not sure about the AMX.

SniffyHuffnsnuff
My wife's first car was a Gremlin, a base model, the same color as yours, sans the hood scoop and wide tires. She actually loved the car and it was surprisingly problem-free in the years she owned it. I always thought it was rather ugly. Ironically, my best friend back in those days (circa 1978-9) owned an AMC Pacer, an absolute abomination of a motor vehicle.
steev
My friend's Mom had a Gremlin which he also drove a lot. I don't recall that it was particularly troublesome. My Dad was an AMC fan and had a couple of Ramblers and a Javelin. I've never driven a Pacer but I never heard people speak of them very fondly.
