philp
Great question and great model. it was considered an experimental VTOL aircraft so same category as a Harrier or an X plane. Or you can always put it in Miscellaneous. I will defer to an Aircraft Judge.

EFGrune
Jim may respond with the definitive answer, but I would say it goes to rotary wing. The three turbo jets (multi-engine jet category?) drove the 'Turborotator' fan that provided downward thrust. JClark
Scott Well, after having a look around the internet.... scratching my head.... saying hummmm a lot.... I would have to say the small jet category. It most resembles a Harrier/F-35 than anything else. Anyone else with better info please chime in. But right now wearing the hat that I do , 1/72 small jet #121. HTH Jim
