GeneralModel
Hi All, In this diorama, a well-known operation will be viewed from a different side. Doolittle Raid The USS Hornet is often seen in dioramas based on this operation. In this work I will do, there will be only 6 B-25B Mitchells on the US side. All remaining units will be depicted in a port on the Japanese Empire mainland. Scale 1:700 B-25B Mitchell - Trumpeter Others Hasegawa Maybe a few units of Niko Model ( cranes etc.) Let’s start with B-25B I have some ideas on how to do it, the planes will be in the air. But how? )) Some of the planes will have engine, propeller, etc. failures. Smoke, flame etc. I'm planning effects for working engine propellers. GeneralModel
I thought of using the Hyuga I had already finished and the Heian Maru next to it at the port. I had planned the IJN-I400 submarine next to Heian Maru. A friend of mine who knew that period well warned me. Heian Maru was in the open sea at the time of the raid. At that time, Hyuga was not a hybrid aircraft carrier. The IJN-I400 submarine was produced in the following years. So the plans changed. The support ship would be Heian Maru's sister, HIE MARU, and the submarine would be I-16. Since I was thinking of a crowded port, there should have been support ships. Mark Deliduka
I'm sure that I will, those previous pics show every indication of how incredible this is already! I Have no idea how to weather ships like you've done with the Hie Maru; Especially in 1/700 scale.

The port land side is partially completed.

Ron Bell
As to the planes in the air...stretch that clear plastic sprue and mount the aircraft on stalks of that. I've done it before and it looks pretty good.

While continuing to Diorama, a big earthquake occurred in our country in February. Due to my job, I was constantly in the earthquake zone. That's why I didn't even look at the forum. See you soon. Hi David, Thank you for your kindness. I'm glad you had a nice time in Türkiye. Turkish is a very difficult language. But you're doing well. Congrats. The great earthquake that affected my family and my entire country and the recent loss of my mother caused me to stay away from my hobbies. But the life goes on. As for the diorama... I'm continuing my Doolittle project again. I will share the developments soon. Thanks for your interest. We would be pleased to see you again in Türkiye.
