BobH
Does anyone know of a source for a 1/48th scale ADF antenna. I can't seem to find any anywhere on the web.
ghodges
I'm your huckleberry....email me your home address at: slowhandshodges@bellsouth.net..... I have a couple I can send, as long as resin isn't a problem. Gil
Msgtdannoo
What are the chances you make them in 1/72?
ghodges
I sent him a couple of 1/48 ones I had in my spares box. However, I'd like to suggest the following method to make your own ADF "football" antennas in whatever scale you need.... You can make the football shape using 2-part epoxy putty. I use Apoxy Sculp, but almost any epoxy putty from the hardware store can be used. To make the post try to use some airfoil shape strut stock. If you don't have any, you can shape a piece of thick sheet plastic by rounding off the leading edge and then scraping down the rear half of each side with a knife blade. After making the basic shape with the putty, stick the post into the top trying not to deform it too much. Reshape any deformities and then allow it to dry for 1/2 the time it takes it to "set". At that time, you should be able to smooth it and finalize the shape with a finger (or tool) wet with water or alcohol. Let it finish setting hard and you should have a usable "football antenna". Hope this helps! Gil
