Bradley25mm
My first Nationals. Had a great time. Made some new friends, and got a lot of good advice from some fantastic modelers. In reference to judging, is it common place for judges to pick up models off their bases to look at them? Just curious. Christopher
Ron Bell
Not common place, but it there is no other way to tell one model's flaws from another, yes, it may happen. They are cautioned to use extreme care and use it as a last resort, but yes, they may do it. Remember, these are 3D representations of prototypes, so must be judged in the same dimensions. Roktman
Ron really said it all. But I'd like to add that each year (so far) the Lead Judge holds a seminar called "What the Judges Look For." In it they basically go over, with images, of ... what they look for. Your topic is also included in the presentation. I really recommend everyone sit in on it every other year or so as a refresher.
