nmertes
I have 6 1/48th scale F-4 kits in my stash that keep calling out to be built. They're going to be waiting quite awhile longer until I get caught up on other projects. One of the add-ons I've acquired for my Navy F-4's is Steel Beach Accessories Trunion Plate set. I've searched all my references & online to no avail. Can anybody tell me where on the wing these plates go. I queried Darren (Steel Beach Accessories). His response was that they're to give extra clearance so the LG doesn't hit the wing.
ghodges
They go right in the middle of the top of the wing, and as he said, the were a reinforcement to keep the main gear leg from punching through the top of the wing. Essentially, it goes directly above where the main gear leg is in the wing. Hope this helps. Gil
nmertes
Thanks, Gil. That solves the mystery. Nick
