TimDarrah
I'd like to start me El Alamein British Sherman soon. What's a good enamel to represent the Desert Pink that they used at that time? Thanks,
pyrman
Tim, if you're looking for an out of the bottle color, try Polly Scale's "Isreal early tan" (505342). It has a nice pinkish hue to it. hth, Greg

Thanks, The exact shade is open to debate so you could mix your own using a dessert sand/stone and a few drops of red. It was officially/un-officially Mountbatten pink. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mountbatten_pink
Warwheels
Mike Starmer, a very well respected researcher and author on Brit WWII Colours, has been posting some "tamiya mix formulas" on Missing Lynx. It just so happens that he posted a message on Desert Pink. Access this link for more info on the Pink: http://www.network54.com/Forum/527528/mess...+mix+correction
