ghodges
Yes. Everyone who wants to enter the contest at the Nats has to register. You can do this online yourself and have a friend take your models to the show and enter them; or you send your paperwork and money along with your friend and they register you there; but you have to "pay to play." If you were to try to save money by having your models entered under another member's name (thinking if they win he'd simply bring "your" trophies home to you with no one the wiser) there will be 2 problems: 1) your friend will be in violation of the rule requiring all work be HIS OWN; and 2) your friend (not you) would be credited at the awards banquet and in the Journal with the win. Personally, as an IPMS judge, if anyone violates rule 1 knowingly (as would be in this case); I'd recommend banning him from all future Nats competition. Ron Bell
This should answer your question. http://www.ipmsusa2017.com/ckfinder/userfiles/files/2017%20Registration%20Form%20(2).pdf That form is filled out in your name by your proxy. In other words, it cost you $25 to enter proxy models.
