ghodges
Fisher 1/32 resin Cougar built OOTB. Markings are for a VF-111 CAG squadron hack @1963. The sunburst tail and the NL on it are painted, as are all of the shark mouths. All other markings are a combo of dry transfer lettering and numbers, a few kit decals, and stars from the spares box. Cannot confirm this was a real scheme, but saw a pic of it on line (another model?) and HAD to build it! Questions, critiques, and comments welcome. Cheers! WildBill50
Very nicely done sir. And how long did this one take to get built? Love the scheme as it works well with the lines of the kit. Bill Edited March 6, 2017 by WildBill50
ghodges
How long? Roughly 6 weeks between finishing this one and finishing the last two in January. Should have been quicker, but I actually dropped it when the resin piece in the tail pipe that I was using as a grip for my forceps broke, breaking it into its main components... :smiley7: This cost me a few days....a couple to get over being angry and a day to repair it. And then I also managed to spill some clear flat on the nose... :smiley18: And that cost me another couple of days. All in all, I'm not unhappy that it took longer than it should, but hate being a klutz! GIL :smiley16:
