TimDarrah
Might anyone know of a conversion/detail set, decals & what color green was used to build a Syrian Pz IV or Jagdpz IV? I know Star Decals has a sheet of Syrian T-34/85s and T-55 used in the Six-Day War but nothing for the Pz IV or the Jagdpz IV. AEF Designs used to have a conversion for the Pz IV but we all know how bad AEF stuff was plus they are out of business. Thanks, Tim
Mark Aldrich
Tim, Really???? You just didn't shoot me an email? TMK no one has released a Jagdpanzer conversion. Mr Modelbau makes a Syrian panzer IV conversion and is actually quite decent. http://www.mrmodellbau.com/_shop/product_info.php?products_id=139 No one seems to know where they came from (France, Czech, Russia, and possibly Spain) so the base color has always been argued. AS the First ones were purchased from Czech, I would assume either the Czech variation of Russian green or actual Russian Green. Nice walkarounds here. http://www.primeportal.net/tanks/sasha_lev/panzer_iv/index.php?Page=2 http://svsm.org/gallery/PzKpfw-IV_family The Danville one actually has Israeli made modifications on it. Though TMK, they NEVER actually fielded any of them. No hull skirts or mounts but they left the turret armor on. Dragon kits are probably still the best. Dragons, latest non zimmerrritt kits specifically. I used 6594. For an H, I would suggest 6300. I have done a Panzer IV, Stug III and I will include links to pics when I get home (can't access photobucket from work).
TimDarrah
Mark, I lost your e-mail, that's why I didn't contact you directly as I knew you'd be the "ever-so knowledgeable one" . I have found several photos on the Net and I will definately scope out Mr. Modelbau. Thanks again Brother, Tim
