Guest Pyrman
Threw this together after I met a vet that crewed one in WWII at my local hobby shop. I ended up building one for him as a thank you for sharing his experiences, with my local club, in the 10th Armored Div (11th Tank Bn), from France thru Luxembourg City during the Bulge and onto the capitulation in Austria. It's Tamiya's 105mm Howitzer Sherman kit. Here are the changes/additions to the kit: added MV Lenses closed sponsons hand-made aerial identification sheet added Academy ammo & fuel/oil cans added assorted K/C ration boxes added Custom Dioramics duffel bags tie down rope from some ship modeling company all markings are Archer Fine Transfers
cbush
Very nice job Greg. And building one for a WWII vet is a class act.
Chris Mobley
Great build. And building it for a vet just makes it that much better.
Mark Aldrich
One of these days I'm going to build a M106 (that I crewed on) before my hands get too old and eyes get too bad that I will need someone to build it for me. What a nice gesture.
