Guest Bun E. Carlos
John R. posted it the other day..............but I just got this from Jeff Danby, the author: Dear Mr. Bruno, Thank you for your kind words about the book. I greatly appreciate you taking the time to look me up and write to me and I certainly appreciate you doing a review for the International Plastic Modelers Society. I am glad you enjoyed the book. I didn’t set out to write the thing, but it just happened that way. In the process of researching that first one, I ended up with enough material to keep going---so I'm currently working on a history of B Company/756th Tank Battalion. The saddest part of this whole process is that I have made a great many friends of WWII veterans and now have to watch them pass away. Redle, Burks and a few others are still with us...Jantz and Cogdell have since passed away. Still, I'm a better man for knowing them, and am forever honored that they trusted me with their memories. The best part this whole process was presenting that final book to each of the veterans who helped me. That was my way of saying "thanks for everything you did for me--back in WWII and now." All the best, Jeff
Mark Aldrich
Jack, I got the same kind of email from Samer Kassis (30 Years of Military vehicles in Lebanon) After his review published. Makes me feel good to see that our reviews are appreciated by more than just fellow model builders. Rock On
