Revell 1/32 P-47D Razorback. All markings were home made, as this was years before the Trumpeter kit and decals for this were available!

Not exactly extravagant..but then the Playboy bunny WAS the reason to do this scheme! :smiley20: This a 1/32 F-86D Saberdog built from the ID vac conversion with a Hasagawa F-86E.

The ultimate Bicentinial artwork for airplanes! Monogram 1/48 F-106 with all markings painted or from the spares box. These decals are STILL not available in 1/48!

OK, no combat involved, but certainly some GREAT artwork as applied by Iron Maiden to their tour jet! :smiley20: Minicraft (?) 1/144 767.

The ubiquitus sharkmouth as applied to A-7D's in 'Nam. Hasagawa 1/48 kit.

"Batman" motif as applied to the F-94B in the 50's. This a VAC conversion of the Monogram F-80 with an Aerofrom vac F-94B kit; built 10+yrs before the Hobbycraft kit came out in these markings!

1/48 Monogram F9F-5 Panther in "Blue Tail Fly" markings of the Korean war. Built this when the kit was first released with home made markings.

Gambling artwork, as applied to the Geebee R-2. I'm sure Doolittle felt like he was gambling his life when he flew this unstable little barrel! Old Testors/Hawk kit in 1/48 with Red Pegasus decals to replace the silver-fish eaten kit decals.

"Stateside", an RB-45C recce plane from Korea (the other side has a "for sale-inquire inside" sign on the nose) CollectAire 1/48 resin kit.

 

Surprisingly, I have few "pin-up/nose art" models on the shelf. That's something I'll have to rectify! :smiley2:

Looking awesome! Great artwork on all of those. I'd love to recreate some of those in my scale someday!

 

Beautiful job Gil, this shows once again that you are the Master at Vac-formed model aircraft!

I would like to make similar collection (looking for a number of a models) .. :-)

Sometimes I'm bad because I haven't free time for hobby ... 5 models per year is for me success :-)

But very often I have a time for only a 1 model per a year ...

 

So ... Mark say true ... :-)
