Gaston
1/48th C-46 1/48th Pe-8 1/48th C-54 1/200 Yamato 1/200 Ise and Hyūga. The last pair of items would I think make for the coolest kits ever in all plastic history, bar none... A successful full-fledged 25 knot battleship, with four turrets (six originally!) and an aircraft carrier deck complete with elevator, capable of carrying and lauching 14 landplanes and 8 seaplanes... And quite a successful and very long career for both ships of the class! Nothing can beat this imho... I know the Nichimo Yamato exists, but for those considering it, just remember the Nichimo kit is not even in styrene, but is indended for RC and is entirely moulded in that PVC-type plastic... That should discourage a few of the more fearless types... The vastness of what could be done just shows how boring and timid most releases are... Even the 1:32 B-17G seems unimaginative compared to the above imho... Gaston
philp
I personally would like to see injection kits in 72nd scale of the C-17 and C-5. Even a few more of the airliners in 72nd would be nice now that the 737 is out. An injection 747 to mount my Shuttle on would be great without me having to figure out resin or vacuform. And some larger 72nd scale landing craft would be nice. An LCI and LCT come to mind.
ghodges
I'll second the C-46 and C-54 in 1/48, in vac or injection moold! GIL
Mark Deliduka
I agree with Phil. There are so many 1/72 scale models that can be released; I find it interesting that everyone wants to go bigger... and bigger.... With all the models already finished, where would one put all these monstrosities? Hmm... that's a good question for me to consider as well in reference to a 1/72 scale C-5, C-17 and 747, considering how little room I have on my ceiling as it is! Guest PetrolGator
There is a 1/200 scale Yamato by Nichimo. With some aftermarket, it can be made into a nice kit.
VonL
1/72 Buckley class Destroyer Escort would be about the size of Lindberg's good ol' Blue Devil Destroyer, so that's been done, size wise. Would gladly pay the $200-ish for a decently done kit of this one to modern standards. And the RC guys should dig it, too...work with me here... Guest PetrolGator
I would LOVE a giant scale Buckley. The potential for super detailing would be endless. May I also throw my hat in for a huge Samuel B Roberts? I love tin cans.
sumterIII
1/200 BB's are nice but I need another house to store them. However if there was a pre WW1 era ship I would have to buy one anyway. For aircraft a WW1 ventage in 'super scale' would be welcome. I hope that in future model contest the big ships will be broken out from the rest as they are not in the same class as 350. (and yes I know on the national level it is) Edited August 6, 2013 by sumterIII
wenwsaew1977
I really hope that a 1/32 F-106 Delta Dart is out there somewhere and also the 2 seater version. I would get both of them the day they arrived.
ghodges
Good news Stephen! There IS a 1/32 F-106 available! The bad news is it's the old Combat vacuform model! It's buildable...but not without a lot of scratch building and spares parts help. The way things are going, I'd wait a couple of years before tackling it, unless you just GOTTA have it now. Trumpeter seems to be doing a lot of the missing 1/32 stuff, so I'd give them some time.... GIL
rbeach84
Scratchbuild it! Bwahhhhaaaa! R/ Robert BTW, the same can be said for the C-46 (Combat Models) and C-54 (Esoteric vac kit - better quality than CM releases, but is male molded, so... includes the RR engines [like a Shackleton] for a Canadian North Star)
