TimDarrah
I'm working on the 1/24th Fujimi Porsche 911GT3R using the SBS slotcar body and Studio 27 decals to make a 2010 Flying Lizard Motorsports car. Neither the kit or the Studio 27 decal sheet provides the three "positions" lights that are on the side just aft of the doors. Might anyone know where I could get these lights, or have a set in their stash that I could beg/borrow/steal? I figure that I could use black decal film cut with my hole punch if need be. Thanks, Tim Edited July 4, 2013 by TimDarrah
kptucker
Tim, Could you use "Marker Lights" from the model railroading realm? The GT class uses green and green is a color that railroads use for marker lights or even right of way signals. Another possibility would be to get a sheet of green from Plastruct and use a hole punch to make the diameter you need. Plastruct also makes green rods. If all else fails, you could use green theatrical gel and hole punch it.
kptucker
Tim, My mistake on the green leader lights. The 2010 car had amber lights. http://www.flickr.com/photos/dinanm3atl/5048542004/ Same ideas go for this one too. Model Railroading lights, Plastruct color sheets, maybe even Tamiya clear orange... http://www.tamiyausa.com/items/paints-finishes-60/tamiya-color-acrylic-paint-59000/acrylic-x-26-clear-orange-81026
TimDarrah
Could do that but the lights are actually LEDs and there are 3 of them per "lense". So I'm thinking of the black disc with three orange dots on it. I built the SimilR Ford GT and it had the lights, I looked through my left-over decals but didn't see them in there. Thanks for the ideas though.
