Highlander
Is there a model available of the Mirage 5? It was an offshoot of the Mirage IIIE and looked much like it, except it had a longer nose that extended the aircraft's length by about half a metre. And the pitot tube was moved from the tip of the nose to below the nose.
Ron Bell
Didn't Heller do one?
Mark Deliduka
Heller did do one; I built it about a decade ago. I remember it being a bit of a tough build. Raised panel lines and rivets too. Good looking model when done. However, it is in 1/72 scale. Not aware of a 1/48 scale one if they have it.
Highlander
Further research shows Italieri with a IIIE which I could convert.
ewahl
Hi, David, How about the 1975 Revell Kit #H-155 1/32 Israeli Mirage 5J Ground Attack Fighter, which can also be built as a French Mirage 5F? The kit is molded in sand color plastic. Markings are for Israeli 5J a/c #147 and French 5F a/c #22. Both sets of national insignia are included, of course. FYI, there is also Revell Kit #H-185 1/32 Mirage III that can be built in four versions. Some builders will turn up their noses at almost 40-year-old Revell 1/32 Mirage kits, but who else has a better one in the game? Ed
