IPMS/USA History Project What do you know about the early days of your Society? The good, the bad and the ugly. Local chapters and national. How did it start...who was involved...would you like to know where the bodies are buried? I'm going to try to answer those questions and more. I, too, often wondered about Jim and where he was. Jim and I met when we were both members of the Texas Aviation Historical Society that met in Dallas. While the focus was aviation history, there were always models showing up (We can't get away from them, can we?), with the end result being the occasional contest. I was 21 and Jim was in his early 30s. Jim used to tell a story...and actually printed it in one of the Journals... that I would never forgive him because I was IPMS/USA #2 instead of #1. Past IPMS/USA Nationals Winners Suggested by Dennis Tennant, the theme name says it all. Any model that has placed 1st, 2nd, 3rd, OOB or Premier in any past National convention is eligible. Please include the place it took and the year of the convention if you can. As per usual, be sure to wait until Oct. 1st to post for the theme.
