  1. Just wanted to make everyone on this forum aware that Tru-Color Paint will be in attendance at the IPMS National Convention being held in Phoenix, AZ on August 1-4, 2018. This will be the first time we are in attendance at a National and we look forward to the experience ! We will have the ENTIRE Tru-Color Paint product line there for U.S. Naval ships from WW2 to date, Japanese Naval ships for WW2 and samples of some colors for Kreigsmarine for WW2. We will also have every color we have for U.S. land forces - armor, vehicles, uniforms, etc; and U.S. Army, Navy and Air Force colors for planes from WW1 to modern times. A sampling of our generic and detail colors will also be on display and for sale. We will have 4 tables with all of our paint for sale. Models using our paint will also be on display. If you plan to attend the IMPS National, drop by our tables and say hello, pick up some paint and flyers. Maybe you have an idea for a color or colors we should have in our product line - bring that up now or at the convention ! Masking paper in 3 and 10 packs will also beavailable. If you want anything specific (like 2 or 16 oz. of any color) brought for you, let us know by responding to this thread, calling or emailing us. We will be happy to accommodate any special order. Looking forward to hearing from you. Martin Cohen, PhD Tru-Color Paint P.O. Box 74524 Phoenix, AZ 85087-4524 714-488-9779
  2. Tru-Color Paint is looking for any help we can get on getting the correct colors for German AFV's used in WWII. Information on all the color schemes on all types of vehicles wanted - particularly Panzer and all other tanks used by the Germans. All years of WWII are of interest to us. The information will be used to make accurate paint colors for release in late 2018. If anyone has information or wants to help develop the colors for this area of WWII models please contact us via this thread, call or email us. We look forward to anyone supplying data that we can use or pointing us in the right direction. We realize that color chips would be nearly impossible to obtain, but if anyone has a paint color or colors that is considered "accurate", we would be interested in knowing about it (them). It is possible that we could send some plastic scraps or polystyrene sheet material to anyone to paint a swatch for us to match. Just send us details of what you have and your address for us to send materials for you to paint. Martin Cohen, PhD Tru-Color Paint P.O. 3. Tru-Color Paint would like to enlist the help of modelers of WWI and Interwar period aircraft for the correct colors we should develop for this era. In particular we need help with accurate colors for French and German WWI Bi-Planes plus the linen colors for British WWI planes. Note that we already have 2 PC-10 Olive Drab colors and a PC-12 color for British aircraft. Between the wars, we believe planes' colors were made simpler without the need for camouflage colors. Is this a correct assumption ? Regardless of the answer, what colors were planes in this era painted ? Any help modelers can give us would be appreciated. If someone has data we can use for color matching, that would be great. We pride ourselves on making an accurate product and although other manufacturers may have colors in their line that are supposedly correct for this period, there is no guarantee they are right. If we get corroboration by experts in this field that xyz company makes the correct French Dope Yellow, then that is what we will match. If anyone is willing to help us, our color lab will make 2-6 samples of colors to send them to see what is the correct match for the target color we are trying to match in their opinion. If we are close it would help to know which sample is best and a suggestion on what to add to "tweak" the color in the right direction. Anyone care to join us in this venture ? Martin Cohen, PhD Tru-Color Paint P.O. Box 74524 Phoenix, AZ 85087-4524 714-488-9779 PS - We realize little or no color standards existed in this time period, but if any colors of old match U.S. 595 (A,B or C), British, RAL, ANA or other "modern" standards, let us know that too.
