  1. Hi, everyone. I'm looking for a set of decals that came in the Revell Germany boxing of the old Monogram 1/48 F9F-5P Panther. It's the markings for VU-1. If anyone has these decals, I'll be glad to buy them from you. Thanks!
  2. Seeking decals for the Williams Bros. 1:72 C-46 commando. I have the decals with the original (mid-1970s) release, and it has the blue of the US insignia too light. Plus, it's for a natural medal one and I want to do one in Olive Drab over Neutral Gray. I know Caracal Models has a sheet coming out sometime later, but I would like to get something sooner. I am planning to build the C-46 for a chapter display project. Any help in this matter would be most appreciated. Thank you in advance.44 Bob
  3. These are my collection of Micro-Scale and Scale-Master Decals that I am looking to sell from the 1970's and 1980's All decals show no signs of yellowing. All plastic wrap decals are manufactured sealed... only a few of the paper wrap decals show signs of had been opened but all contents still there. I have included some sample pictures of the decals and wrapping indicative of the decal conditions I also have photos of all the decals so if you are interested I can post/msg them to anyone that would like to see them Please feel free to contact me, we can discuss price and shipping costs.
  4. Hi, We, at Asian Air Arms SIG, have just released a series of low-cost, generic decals to cover the range of insignia used in Asia since 1945. These are not specific to one type of aircraft or any one scale - they are roundels and fin flashes in a variety of four different sizes. This will allow them to fit a wide range of scales and aircraft types. They are a low-cost production, being printed on either White or Clear decal paper - you then have to trim them out carefully! They've been put together by our SIG to help members and other modellers complete aircraft in almost any Asian finish. Take a look at them here https://www.asianairarms.com/decals-aaa . They are priced at just £4.50 per A4 sheet (11 3/4 " x 8 3/4") but will be increasing to £5.00 a sheet from November. If you think they could be helpful, contact me via the website and I can give you a postage quote. Brian Asian Air Arms SIG Leader http://www.asianairarms.com
  5. Hi all, It's February 16 and the Decal E-book has just been made available for sale. From now until the 1st of March, the price is a mere $3.99. After that, it goes to $4.99. So where do you get it? All you have to do is click on Scale Publications and you'll go right to it. I hope y'all enjoy it. Feedback is encouraged so it can be improved and expanded, depending on what you would like to see. Richard p.s. If someone in the review corps wants a copy for review, I'll be happy to send one to them. Just give me a shout.
  6. Hi all, Hang in there. The ebook's almost done. 13,000 words so far. In PDF format, it's 60 pages or maybe a little more. As you know, pages don't count in the various ebook formats. It all depends on the size of the screen you're reading on. If I can go without sleep...and put off some of my commission work...it'll be done by the 15th of February. Price will be $4.99 and I'll see what I can do to knock it down a buck or so for IPMS members. Richard
  7. Hi all, Just to let you know, my How To Make Your Own Decals Ebook is moving right along. Every day I find something else that needs to be discussed, but it now looks to be finished and available by February 15. It better be, since I am scheduled to make a presentation on that date for the local IPMS group! You'll have your choice of multiple formats, including epub, mobi and pdf. Price? Either $3.99 or $4.99. Anyway, below is the current table of contents for your consideration. 8. One and all, For those who are interested, the decal ebook is making good progress. Already a little over 5,000 words. Just so you will know what will be in it, below is the current Table Of Contents. There may be some adjustments to it, but this is probably 90 - 95% of what you will see. Table Of Contents Prologue Introduction Chapter 1: Equipment Scanners Aftermarket Scanning Programs Computers Printers H-P Photosmart 8250 Epson Workforce 840 Epson XP-410 Ink Software Photoshop Open Office Draw Microsoft Paint Gimp Chapter 2: Decal Paper Testors Experts Choice Micro-Mark Papilio Chapter 3: Fixatives Chapter 4: Capturing The Image Chapter 5: Restoring Old Decals Chapter 6: Resizing Chapter 7: Creating A New Image Chapter 8: Printing The Decal Chapter 9: Sealing The Decal Chapter 10: Applying The Decal Chapter 11: Alternate Techniques Epilogue About The Author Price? As it stands now, either $3.99 or $4.99. Formats? mobi (for Kindle), epub (most other ereaders) & pdf (most ereaders, tablets, desktops and laptops) Availability? Hopefully by the end of December 2014, though it might be a few weeks later due to delays caused by a trade show model that I recently finished. Any and all comments while the ebook is being completed will be most welcome. Richard
  9. Since most of us either want something different than the box provided decals...or need unusual/no longer available decals for a particular project, such as my current Monogram F-105...I'm going to bite the bullet and ask the question you see in the title. In a little more detail, what would y'all think of an ebook that was available in multiple formats...including mobi, epub and pdf...and very reasonably priced? There would be an in depth discussion of available papers for inkjet printing, how to create the image in the first place using Photoshop or Gimp, limitations and peculiarities of inkjet printing and more. Of course photos of finished models with the created decals. I've been threatening to do this for a long time. Let me know what y'all think and I'll see if I can quit threatening and put the project on the list. Richard
  10. Are there any currently available aftermarket decals for the 1/48th Monogram F-105 kits? Specifically the F-105D and F-105G in Viet Nam. Already have a source for the F-105 Thunderstick II (Zotz Decals). The reason for "currently available" is that these models are intended for publication and I'd rather not send readers on a snipe hunt for OOP sheets. All help greatly appreciated. Richard Marmo
