[Anti-Slip Coating]

this may be a duplicate..

 

The anti slip on the Merkava II and IV is actually metal bits blasted into the finish. It is not affixed with paint. Fine sand might be the most realistic finish.

 

The small bits do hold dust from the operation area providing natural camoflague.

 

I can provide pictures on request from the Israeli Armored Museum.

This is the 1/48 scale F 84F from Kinetic Models. I built this one right out of the box. A really nice kit overall, good fit and great overall details.

 

Beautiful work. You should be able to answer my question. What was the wheel well color of the Thunderstreak? Was it the same for the French exports? I'm working on one with Israeli overmarkings during the Sues crisis in '56.

What was the color in the wheel wells of the F-84-F Thunderstreak? Was the French version the same color?
