I am currently working on a new aviation photo gallery that will take the form of a data DVD (computer viewing only) and possibly an ISO, though the ISO will depend on the final size. If this offering is well received, there will be additional photo galleries from the same source.

The I.J.N. often outfitted J3Ms with two 132-pound (60 kg) bombs or two 53-gallon (200 L) drop tanks. While it was no match for the P-51D Mustang, it was successful against strategic bombers like the B-29 Superfortress. 17. With apologies to Ross McMillan of SAC and Ed Kinney who wrote this. Entirely my error this did not get published. Steve Product: Scale Aircraft Conversion 1/32nd, 1/48th, and 1/72nd new GEAR PRODUCTS Reviewed by: Ed Kinney IPMS # 2989 MSRP: Please see individual pricing Manufacturer: Scale Aircraft Conversions Product supplied by: Ross McMIllan Website: www.scaleaircraftconversions.com Recommendation: Most high NEW PRODUCTS – DECEMBER 2011 Well, here it is mid December with Christmas just around the corner and expanding the seemingly never ending line of quality landing gear replacements come – six new offerings in 3 scales. This month the inclusion of some extras is notable. Both the 1/32nd gear for the Trumpeter P-51 and the 1/72nd replacement for the P-39 come with some really nice extras as shown below: · # 32058 – J2M3 Raiden Landing Gear – replacement for Hasegawa MSRP $ 14.95 · #32059 - P-51 Landing Gear (Trum) - replacement for 1/32 Trumpeter Includes corrected wheels, gear doors and main gear hydraulic lines MSRP $ 21.95 · #48156 – RQ-4B Global Hawk Landing Gear – replacement for 1/48th Skunkmodel MSRP $ 16.95 · #48157 – F8F Bearcat Landing Gear and Wing Hinges (HB) Replacement for 1/48th Hobby Boss MSRP $ 16.95 · #48158 – F-8 Crusader Landing Gear (RM) – correction for 1/48th Revell/Monogram MSRP $ 16.95 · #72039 – P-39 Landing Gear and Ballast (Aca) – replacement for 1/72 Academy MSRP $ 12.95 As always, these are cast metal parts that require very little cleanup and in many cases are nearly mandatory due to either weight or accuracy issues with the original kits. I do, however, detect a subject that seems to be missing this month – a corrected replacement for Santa’s Sleigh. I guess they must have been accurate to begin with. Many thanks to Ross McMIllan for the review samples ---…….Happy Holidays !!

  22. Michael, The line at the bottom reads "Separate the parts from left (L) to right ®, then assemble." Sorry, no manufacturer's name. Steve
  23. Mike, One of my co-workers is half Korean. Her mother is here, too, so she can get your instruction sheet translated. PM me and I'll send you my email address if you want her to do it. Steve
  24. Thanks, Mike, I missed those parts when I was peering through two layers of bagging plastic, which I have not yet unsealed. Thus, the ProModeler kit becomes even more versatile. I saw the vague drawings in the instructions that showed the Cheyenne rear housing, but it is, as you say, not mentioned specifically. Only the early style is shown in assembly steps. The three-views also show only the early style. With a great set of aftermarket decals, this kit can become almost any variant. There are two styles of windshields, three radio room canopy choices, and two rear fuselage window covers. Add to this the choice of a ball turret or BTO radome. So, has anyone actually built this beauty yet? Ed Ed, I've started mine (well, actually the Revell of Germany version - no differences other than decals that I can see), but a few things got in the way and I haven't gotten much past assembling the bomb bay. But, with that in place, the fuselage halves almost literally click into place and stay there. I hope they soon come out with the right fuselage half for the later G versions, with the staggered waist positions. That, and the various nose pieces, radio compartment windows, waist gun windows and tail gun parts would allow virtually any B-17G to be done. I like the kit a lot. It'll be the next bomber I do. Steve
