  1. Hey Duke! I know where you got that kit! :) It looks great, from the construction to the paint, everything is awsome. Great work! chuck
  2. Outstanding Mike! An absolute work of art. Chuck
  3. I just saw this. I'm mostly an armor guy so I don't look here often, but this is a very nice model. Great weathering and the open tool box is really is an eye catching touch. Did you ever do the boat trailer? If so, please post it. Great work! Chuck
  4. Thank you Rob. I hadn't found this walk around. Mark, I've got my fingers crossed that we will see a set soon. But I don't think I'll put off the build waiting, maybe a second kit will be in order. Chuck
  5. I'm staring at the AFV Club M42 Duster. It looks like a great kit and I want to get started on it, but I want to do an interior for the driver's compartment. The kit has seperate hatches, and there is even some detail on the inside of them. The large front hatch would look really good open, and most all of the interior will be visable. I've also found some pictures of Dusters in Vietnam with that hatch propped open. Do any of you treadheads know of an interior that would work? Has anyone heard of one being released? Maybe even something for a Chaffee? I've searched on Google and Bing, but maybe I missed something (I hope). Thanks for looking. Chuck Bush chuck@chuckbush.com
  6. I've got the address and phone number on my tablet. 20 minutes isn't too bad. I live 30 min from my local hobby shop. I've been to Pikes Market and will be going again this time. My brother and I go to Seattle every 2 years or so, just for a bonding vacation. We'll probably do the underground tour this year.
  7. Skyway sounds like my kind of place. There's nothing like a plastic fix to pick up your trip. I'll be staying in the Hilton downtown, will the taxi ride take a lot of time?
  8. Thank you Mark! Skyway Model Shop it is! Chuck
  9. Hi guys I will be in Seattle in May and will only have time to go to one hobby shop. My interest is mainly armor. Where would you go? Thanks Chuck Bush
  10. Great find! Thanks for the pictures. Chuck

  13. Thanks Tim, How does it react to Future?
  14. Thank you Tim, I will add those colors to my list, Iraqi Sand is in the kit, but not the rusts or dark rubber. Any one else with suggestions ? Do I need any of the glazes, varnishes, ect. I have never used Vallejo so can use all the advice I can get. Thanks Chuck
  15. Hi folks, I'm considering buying the Vallejo Military Colors set to use in brush painting. I would be using it for detail painting (stowage, tools, equipment, ect.) and figure painting. Anyone here have the set? If so, do you like it? Are there any colors not in the set that I should buy? Thanks Chuck
  16. Scale Model Supplies in St Paul. I stopped there last fall (I was driving from ND to PA with my son) and was blown away. I found kits I have been looking for (even online) for years. I live over 6 hours away, and plan to make another trip just to spend an afternoon exploring everything they have. Chuck

    LAV-R in Afghanistan

Thanks Mark. I had the same results on google, but thought there might be some first hand knowledge here. Chuck
  19. I'm getting ready to do Trumpeter's LAV-R and intend to paint it USMC Sand. Do I need to worry about slat armor, and is this a proper finish. Thanks Chuck
  20. Mike, You've been in Larimore spying on me! Well, I may be a touch heavier than the guy in your Dio, but otherwise, it's the story of my life. LMAO Great build!! Chuck
