  1. Thanks for that link. I just inquired about getting one. Now I just need to find out about whether there's any kits of a Spoon Rest out there.
  2. Welcome Tim! Looking forward to seeing some of your work!
  3. I actually have a couple Vietnam-era weasels built already. It'll be great to have something for them to attack! LOL!
  4. Yeah! That's why I'm doing mine in 1/72 scale. I only need it to be about 5' around; although I still may fudge it a little in the interest of space accomodation. Excellent! Thanks for that Ron! Now if I could find one in my scale. I'm not sure either of them are done, but a man can keep looking after all.
  5. Brilliant work there Ron! One suggestion that worked for me when some of my decals got milky: Try brushing another coat of gloss over them (I use Future) and then dullcoat again. That almost always takes away the milk. Keep these gems coming!
  6. I agree with all these, except I'd love to see them also shrunk down to my scale. Then there's the Roland as well.
  7. Well done! I love the weathering on the launch vehicle. Way to go! I have two of those built in 1/73 scale; four more to go for a battery. Now I only need to find a command van and a Fan Song radar system in my scale.....
  8. I believe Dragon is Chinese, owned/run by Freddie Leung Academy is Korean.
  9. I was thinking the same thing! I like it. I may have to try and find mine to see if I can get it started.
  10. You mean besides tools? Okay, here's a few things I'm thinking of: Road wheels and track pieces. Possibly even a couple torsion bars. That way the vehicle could be towed if possible to a recovery site. Extra tow cables, engine parts to get some running that might be able to be fired up with some slight repairs; tarps for sun shades or holding parts; some 2x4's for leverage; maybe even a cooler or two for holding food and/or drinks. Maybe even a makeshift trailer attached to the rear to hold a lot of these items since there's such a huge variety of parts needed. That's all I can think of....
  11. Welcome Russel! This is the place to be. Looking forward to seeing pics of your work.
  12. I agree with the history aspect. I want to see detailed descriptions of battles that people fought using equipment we model; complete with extensive maps and battlefield renderings, detailed pics of the vehicles and the people who used them.
  13. Your models are so incredibly good when finished that I appreciate seeing the intermeduiate steps where they are a "mess". That convinces me you're human after all LOL! Besides, even with your models as "messy" as that while under construction; they still far surpass any of the ships I've ever built! Not only that, but seeing them all "messy" helps us all to truly appreciate all the incredible work that you put into these masterpieces when they are finally finished. Keep up the great work; your intermediate pics are inspiring.
  14. Even though I have one of each of these already built; I may take a shot and get one of these kits. This would be pretty cool.
  15. A bit off topic, but I was hoping to meet you down there in San Diego during the show Dan. I'm glad to hear you got something that will work. I'm looking forward to seeing how they turn out.
  16. Man, if it ain't broke, don't fix it! Apparently nobody at Testor's knows this in their obsessive drive to corner the market by eliminating all the better product out there in favor of their inferior one. I hate being forced into a poor choice by removing all the better choices just to support someone else's monetary greed. Okay, time to get back to the bench now and wait for the coffee to kick in....
  17. I have this same kit somewhere in the stash. I'll be watching this with interest.
  18. Brilliant! Amazing work. I would love to see one of these in a kit some day.
  19. Well, I have slowly been getting things done, but not very quickly. Despite the three day weekend; things have really conspired to keep me from updating. First, my PC went wacky, causing me to have to take it in for servicing. Now that it's back a week later, something is wrong with my wired network so my PC can't connect. I have to wait til my wife fixes it since she set it up. Meanwhile, I'm using her PC when I can get on it since our wireless service is so intermittant. On top of all that, my camera broke so I can barely use it. I need a new one, but can't get one until I finish this job I'm doing. It's taking longer than usual since I lost two days of work due to a scratched cornea that happened when some roofing material fell in my eye; getting past my safety glasses somehow. This three-day weekend was taken up by lots of work on Saturday, and on Sunday and MOnday my wife kept me hopping with all kinds of things that needed to be done. Not to mention the places we went to; her sister and nieces were visiting from Canada and so we spent some time with them. All in all, I've had barely any time for any work on the bench. Man, when it rains, it pours. Hopefully next weekend I'll have something to post. Thanks for checking in , I don't even know who sees this unless they reply. LOL!
  20. I haven't had the problem of it evaporating in the bottle. I've had one bottle for nearly a year now and the level hasn't dropped between uses. I would like to pick up a few more.
  21. That is sweet! Way to go o that interior. I built this same model some tiome back to add it to my collection of 1/72 scale civilian aircraft. I painted mine with red and white, since my box showed it that way. Looking forward to seeing more.
  22. Oh cool. I have quite a few, although I only have pics of a small fraction of the ships I've built.
  23. I am especially upset at this as I finally was able to get some Floquill Oily Black to replace my Polly S Oily Black. Now they are going to dicontinue THAT! I'd better stop now before I type something that will get me banned.....
