OK, third clue - this film deals with the topic of time travel in a unique way
-
OK everybody, we need guesses before another clue will be revealed....
-
Image is being reposted so people dont have to go back through olde pages to see the capture again.
OK, here is the first film is our next round. The only clues for today are one, that this movie was made with an astoundingly small budget and two, watching this movie will give you a headache trying to wrap your mind around the topic.
Round Ends at 7:00PM EST this coming Friday

OK, guys, what I'm thinking of is this:
The normal rules apply - 3 strikes and you're out
Also, to speed up the game a little bit, I'm thinking of a 3 day limit on images - that allows us to get a minimum of 2 new movies per week
If noone guesses correctly, that counts as a point for us
Any objections?
It will probably be later in the afternoon / early eveningbefore an image goes up.

PM sent - I'd be happy to run another round as I have a few films in mind.

Interesting....if you want to get further into that, start a post in the open discussion SF forum, been quiet there lately. I really don't care for remakes of classics, usually disappointing, and kind of an insult to the original, IMHO, I think many will agree on that.
Kind of like the Colorization issue of classic BW films, "Citizen Kane", and other magnificent films, by top-notch directors, were filmed that way, and like Hitchcock, used the BW effects in a very special way. What use is it to colorize a "Filme Noire"? Most of the Directors of those films, and many of the Directors considered the best of our time, feel it's a degradation of the Director's true intent.
There are so many good stories yet untold, why rehash what was already done to perfection?
Good examples of bad remakes are of "War of the Worlds", "The Day the Earth Stood Still", and many others.
"Psycho" in color, wouldn't have the same chilling effect as the original, at all. It would be just another "Slasher" film, and there are so many of those already. The BW nuances, in that fantastic film, were skillfully and artistically conceived, and gave the film a really creepy feel.
It's an ongoing argument in the realm, and a matter of opinion, but I prefer to see the "real" versions, as they were meant to be seen.
Hollywood needs a new batch of creative input, look what they did with "Planet of the Apes". The first one was amazing, the slew of sequels were a joke! Kind of ruined it in my mind, but again, just my opinion.
I can think of worse things.... Sitting through Battlefield Earth, perhaps? (That's not a guess by the way)

A longshot, but what about Naked Lunch?
-
Should have known - one of my absolute favorites. They're alledgedly working on a sequel, however it could never stand above the original.

OK, I'm going to waste my second guess and go with "Alphaville"
-
Your correct Mike D, the original title of the Film was "Riders of the Storm", but it was re-released with a new title, why? I have no idea?
More continues tomorrow!
When it was released overseas, it got the 'American Way' title - only here in the USA was it known as Riders of the Storm. Did I mention this movie has a great soundtrack?
-
By the granularity and aparent shallow depth of field of the photo, looks to be prior to the 50's. On the other hand, it could also be forced like that to be a dream sequence or something.
My first gues is 'Things to Come'.
-
Holy crap, I've seen it - although I thought it was Called Riders of the Storm - I actually have a movie poster for the film that I bought in the later 90's from our college bookstore. This scene is a guy doing some sort of asian meditation tai chi thing. Great Music in this movie!
-
OK, last guess - 'War of the Robots'.
I know... strike 3.

"HORRORISH"?????? IS THAT A WORD???
Chill Mike, that's a STRIKE MR. CORLEY!!!
Although I thought it was a rather good plot, poorly executed perhaps, the giant Head was kinda' cool, but the acting was second rate.
When I say "Obscure", I mean it, you have until 5pm today to guess this one, or it's a "Stumper" in favor of the Smurfenstein!
....
horrorish.....hahahaha!!!"WHAT, NO BURGER KINGS IN THIS POST-NUCLEAR STINKHOLE?"
Why do I feel like even though this is an obscure movie, that it is something totally obvious?
-
Could that be Sean Connery??
Could the film be the oddly named ZARDOZ? A more horrorish adaptaion of the Morlock era of "The Time Machine"
I dunno, what looks to me to be boots dont look like they're tall enough - those ridiculous boots he had in that movie went half way up his upper leg. Another horrible, horrible movie I have seen way too many times.
P.S., if it is Zardoz, I'm going to be pissed - I thought about guessing that, but I don't really think it is that obscure of a movie.
-
OK, here goes guess number two - "Galaxina".
-
OK, I'll take the first swing and say it's the 1980 version of Flash Gordon. Truly one of the worst movies I have ever seen over and over and over again....
-
OUR NEXT IMAGE FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION PLAYERS!
AS MIKE D, IS 1 GUESS AWAY FROM WINNING, I HAVE CAPTURED A STILL, FROM ONE OF MY COLLECTIONS MOST OBSCURE FILMS, SO STRANGE, WITH ELEMENTS OF SF, FANTASY, AND A LOT OF OTHER WEIRD STUFF, IT COULD NOT BE FOUND IN GOOGLE IMAGES.
NO CLUES OTHER THAN..........GOOD LUCK!!!
Looks to be mid 70's to mid 80's by the color. Reminds me of scense from the Buck Rogers TV show (the late 70's version). That wasn;t a guess by the way, just an observation.
